Facts

Gary Shaw Productions, Thompson Boxing Promotions, and Top Rank Inc. are all promoters in the sports and boxing fields. Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley is a world champion boxer. Bradley had been promoted by Shaw and Thompson. Bradley is now promoted by Top Rank.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Shaw and Thompson filed suit against Top Rank, alleging that Top Rank interfered with Shaw and Thompson's promotional contract with Bradley. Ten days before Bradley was scheduled to fight for the first time under the Top Rank banner, Shaw and Thompson filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order to stop the Bradley bout.

Result

The Court denied Shaw and Thompson's emergency motion, concluding that they had not established a substantial likelihood of success of irreparable injury, both of which are necessary for the issuance of the extraordinary TRO.
