Facts

Thomas Meagher filed suit against Charles Schwab & Co., asserting breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, wrongful termination, interference with prospective economic advantage, infliction of emotional distress and defamation. The causes of action related to Meagher's termination of employment by Charles Schwab, including statements made on a Form U5.

Damages

Meagher sought $575,000 for lost wages, benefits, and waiting time penalties. He also sought compensatory damages, damages for emotional distress, and punitive damages.

Result

The arbitration panel found in favor of Charles Schwab on Meagher's claims and denied them in their entirety.
