Facts

Plaintiffs, purchasers and subscribers of Men's Journal magazine, brought a potential class action suit against Defendant, Men's Journal LLC, alleging Defendant violated California's "Shine the Light" statute when it failed to notify Plaintiffs that it shared personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Plaintiffs contended that Defendant's failure to give proper notice injured Plaintiffs' market value for their personal information, and also caused a drop in the magazine's value.

Result

The Court dismissed the second amended complaint with prejudice.
