Facts

Plaintiff brought a class action complaint on behalf of consumers who patronized the Johnny Rockets restaurant in Calabasas, and were provided an electronically printed receipt at the point of sale.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that defendants violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act and subjected them to fraud and identity theft by printing the expiration date of the card, name of the cardholder, the brand of the card, and the last four digits of the card on their receipts.

Result

The parties reached a class wide settlement in the amount of $37,370,881.68.
