Facts

In September of 1990, Plaintiff King, a legally blind 38-year-old homemaker, was a guest at Defendant Gallegos' residence when she was knocked to the ground by a runaway horse owned by the Defendants. Defendants were hosting a party at which one of their guests, without permission, rode the horse. The rider fell off during the ride, and the Plaintiff was injured on the horse's return to the corral.
