Facts

Pfizer Inc. units Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Pharmacia & Upjohn Co. manufactured prescription hormone therapy medicines, which patient Hines took. Hines was later diagnosed with breast cancer, and she filed suit against the companies, alleging that they were liable for her cancer.

Result

The jury found in favor of the defense on all claims, determining that causation was lacking, and claims were barred by a statute of limitations and not timely filed.
