PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Canon allegedly infringed plaintiffs' patents, Patent Nos. 7,295,443 and 7,522,424. The patents described technology that enables devices to read different types of removable memory cards. Plaintiffs asserted causes of action for patent infringement.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Canon moved for summary judgment, denying any infringement. Canon claimed plaintiffs' interpretation of the court's construction claim was overbroad in view of prior art.
Result
The court granted Canon's summary judgment motion.
