Patsy Harper, plaintiff, was an employee of Construction Concern Inc., defendant, in an administrative role. Defendant terminated plaintiff. Thereafter, plaintiff sued defendant for terminating her.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff claimed that she was fired in retaliation for the following: making sexual harassment complaints; showing no interest in Richard Herron, defendant; and for seeing a doctor during work for a non-work-related injury. She alleged wrongful termination, sexual harassment, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, negligent hiring or supervision, and retaliation.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendants claimed that plaintiff, an at-will employee, was terminated due to insubordination and performance issues.

Injuries

The plaintiff claimed emotional distress.

Result

The defense was awarded costs in the amount of $3,539.
