Beverly Du Jacques worked as a household employee for Bui Simon and Herbert Simon as the estate manager at defendants' residence. Du Jacques filed a lawsuit against the Simons, alleging discrimination claims.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that she was forced to quit her job after refusing to manage employees whom she alleged were illegal aliens. Plaintiff claimed that defendants wanted her to engage in illegal acts in violation of federal immigration law.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants argued that the employees, who plaintiff claimed were undocumented immigrants, were here lawfully. They claimed that one of the employees was a U.S. citizen and the other had appropriate documentation. Further, defendant contended that plaintiff resigned due to personal reasons.

The jury returned a verdict against plaintiff.
