The plaintiff, an 83-year-old, retired nurse, contended that she was being transported from nursing home to adult family home and the defendant directed receptionist to drive transport van. The defendant's employee, the driver, did not properly secure the plaintiff's wheelchair to van and the plaintiff's wheelchair overturned as the van was rounding a corner and the plaintiff was thrown to the floor.
