COMPLAINANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Complainant asserted causes of action for wrongful termination in violation of public policy (retaliation), defamation, violation of California Labor Code Sections 1050 and 1054, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Respondent denied the allegations and asserted various affirmative defenses.
Damages
Bourdev sought back pay, an expungement of her CRD records, compensatory damages for emotional distress, punitive damages, treble damages, costs and other relief.
Result
The FINRA Panel found JP Morgan liable to Bourdev for $350,000 plus interest at 10 percent. The Panel also recommended the expungement of Bourdev's CRD records.
