Juan Macias sued the County of Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and Sheriff's Deputy Samuel Aispuro for negligence following a collision on Nov. 8, 2012 between his vehicle and one driven by Aispuro. The collision occurred in Los Angeles on East Florence Avenue at the railroad crossing, to the west of Graham Avenue.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Macias contended that Aispuro made a sudden unsafe U-turn directly in front of him, striking Macias' vehicle head-on.
Result
The county settled with Macias for $60,000.
