According to the defendant: The plaintiff claimed that the defendants committed professional negligence in the
course of their representation during and after the conclusion of plaintiffÆs contested marital dissolution
proceedings.
The plaintiff alleged that because of the defendantÆs negligence, he was damaged as a result of an inequitable
distribution of the marital assets including, but not limited to, damages from the under valuation of a jointly-
owned bail bond business; undistributed profits from the business; improper allocations of bank accounts;
improper allocations of miscellaneous bank debts and credits; and miscellaneous other missed or omitted
assets.
Settlement Discussions
According to the defendant: The parties participated in a mandatory settlement conference on June 30, 2000. The plaintiff demanded the sum of $350,000 and the defendants offered $20,000.
