Troy Turner, a minor, was bitten in the face by a dog belonging to defendant Jonathan Dorsey. The insurer for Dorsey was AAA.

Settlement Discussions

Turner made a C.C.P. section 998 offer of settlement in the amount of $300,000 (policy limits).

Damages

Turner sought damages which included $3,000 for past medical expenses and $7,000 for future medical expenses.

Injuries

Turner was taken to the emergency room and treated for wounds to his face. The bite left four scars on Turner's face.

Result

The parties settled for $300,000 (policy limits).
