Plaintiff was driving her 2007 Lincoln Navigator westbound on Vanowen Street. As she entered the intersection with Katherine Avenue, a 2005 Mercedes Benz operated by defendant pulled out from a stop sign traveling south on Katherine Avenue. Plaintiff was unable to avoid impacting the Mercedes.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that the defendant violated Vehicle Code Section 21801(a), failure to yield the right-of-way.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant contended that plaintiff was speeding and inattentive. Defendant also disputed the nature and extent of plaintiff's injuries.
