Facts

The Solano County district attorney's office, together with 34 other California District Attorney Offices, filed a retail hazardous waste disposal lawsuit against Save Mart Supermarkets, claiming that Save Mart violated state environmental laws with how it handled and disposed of waste from spills of toxic fluids and customer returns of hazardous products.

Result

Save Mart agreed to pay $250,000,000 statewide, of which more approximately $250,000 will go to the Solano County District Attorney's Office.
