Plaintiffs sued the City and County of San Francisco after their motorcycle was involved in a collision with a police vehicle on Eleventh Street near the intersection with Folsom Street, in San Francisco.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF’S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that the police officer negligently operated the police vehicle by failing to yield the right of way, causing the collision and resulting in injuries to plaintiffs.

DEFENDANT’S CONTENTIONS: San Francisco denied plaintiffs’ allegations and asserted various affirmative defenses.

Result

The parties settled for $60,000.
