Facts
Mary Kelsey sued Adam Beckenstein in connection with a motor vehicle collision that allegedly occurred on March 20, 2014. Kelsey later sued Morris Lazar and Hiroko Suyama in separate lawsuits concerning two other vehicle collisions that occurred in April 2012 and November 2013, respectively. The trial court subsequently consolidated all three cases.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff was injured as a result of the collision and blamed defendants for the incident.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendant Beckenstein disputed the extent of plaintiff's claimed injuries. Beckenstein denied plaintiff suffered from any impairment resulting from the alleged collision.
Injuries
Kelsey injured her neck, back, and arms, causing her to experience numbing in her fingers. Kelsey also allegedly suffered from poor balance and diminished sensation in her fingers.
Result
Beckenstein settled for his policy limits of $49,999. The case is ongoing as to the remaining defendants.
