Facts

In 2014, plaintiff Jane Doe was a student at Los Altos High School, which is part of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. During this time, plaintiff was sexually abused by teacher David Park multiple times both on and off campus.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff claimed that defendants Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and Principal Cheli McReynolds were negligent and that this negligence was a cause of plaintiff's harm.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendants Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and Principal Cheli McReynolds denied plaintiff's claims, and contested the nature and extent of the damages claimed by plaintiff.

Plaintiff served a CCP 998 offer of $12.5 million. Defendant countered with a CCP 998 offer of $2 million.
