Facts

On Nov. 3, 2015, Michael Young, 46, was transferred to Rancho Los Amigos to undergo rehabilitation. He remained there until June 16, 2016. At that time, he was transferred to another facility. Young had a pre-existing pressure ulcer, which became aggravated during his stay at Rancho Los Amigos. His skin condition was eventually treated at Rancho Los Amigos.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Young alleged that the Rancho Los Amigos staff failed to provide proper medical care to timely treat his pressure sore.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant disputed the allegations.

Result

The parties settled for $299,950.
