National Demolition Contractors filed a claim against the County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District in relation to a contract for the Dominguez Gap Spreading Grounds West Basin Percolation Enhancement Project.
Contentions
CLAIMANT'S CONTENTIONS: NDC contended that the District breached the contract by requiring NDC to use a less efficient method of moving sediment to a landfill. NDC alleged that the less efficient method required by the contract cost NDC over $220,000.
RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS: Respondents neither admitted nor denied the allegations.
Result
The County of Los Angeles agreed to pay $70,000 on behalf of itself and the District to settle NDC's allegations.
