Christopher Gann and other similarly situated Nissan customers filed a class action lawsuit against Nissan North America, Inc. in relation to quality issues with their Nissan vehicles.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that the transmissions on their 2013-2016 Nissan Altima failed prematurely. Plaintiffs contended this caused shuddering, unexpected power surges, hesitation, stalling, and noises.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended the transmission was not defective. Defendant contended that the problems were particular to the individual user.
Result
The parties agreed to settle. Defendant agreed to pay the plaintiff class members reimbursements, an extended warranty, or a $1,000 voucher.
