Plaintiff Nice Davis alleged that on Oct. 2, 2016, she tripped and fell on an uplifted sidewalk in Los Angeles. She filed suit against defendant City of Los Angeles for her resulting injuries.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended the City created or maintained a dangerous condition of public property at or near 5461 Homeside Avenue in Los Angeles, resulting in plaintiff's trip and fall accident. Plaintiff contended defendant failed to remedy the defective uplifted sidewalk.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions.

Result

The parties agreed to settle for $300,000.
