Facts
Claimant Luis-Diego Quiroz filed an arbitration claim against Respondent J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC, in which Claimant sought expungement of a customer complaint from registration records maintained by the Central Registration Depository.
Contentions
CLAIMANT'S CONTENTIONS: Claimant contended the customer had previously told Claimant that she wanted to liquidate her accounts. Claimant contended he then liquidated the customer's accounts as she requested, but thereafter the customer changed her mind and told Respondent that Claimant had liquidated her accounts without authorization. Claimant lastly concluded the customer's oral complaint that Claimant engaged in an unauthorized trade was false and untrue.
RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS: Respondent denied any wrongdoing and further elected not to oppose Claimant's requested expungement.
Result
The Arbitrator recommended expungement of all references to the underlying complaint from registration records maintained by the CRD, for Claimant Luis-Diego Quiroz after it concluded the alleged customer complaint on Claimant's CRD records was untrue.
