Facts

Karim Kharbouch, a rapper who goes by the stage name French Montana, hired Juan Lomeli to clean his pool. Lomeli brought suit against Kharbouch, alleging that Kharbouch's pet German Shepherd Zane viciously attacked his arm while he was working on French's pool in May 2017.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that Zane lunged at him and sunk its teeth into his arm, causing a nasty and painful injury that required immediate medical attention.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant admitted liability

Result

The jury awarded plaintiff $129,500 in damages, with $39,500 for past economic loss, $60,000 for past non-economic loss, and $30,000 for future non-economic loss.
