Facts
On Oct. 1, 1994, plaintiff Linda C. Norberg, a 43-year-old bank manager, was traveling on Highway 29 in Napa. Defendant Linda Bunte ran a stop sign and broadsided the plaintiff's car. Both cars were total losses. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants, Linda Bunte, the driver, and James MacFarland, the owner of the car, based on a negligence theory of recovery.
