Facts

Plaintiff filed suit against the defendants, alleging Defendants were conducting activities on their property, a vacant lot, that were designed to annoy, harass, and intimidate Plaintiff and others in the community. They further alleged that Defendants interfered in the sale of their home.

Defendants cross complained, arguing that Plaintiff's use of night-time lighting and cameras interfered with the use and enjoyment of their vacant lot across the street.

Result

The jury awarded the plaintiff $650,208 in compensatory damages and $130,000 in punitive damages. The jury returned a defense verdict on the cross-complaint.
