Facts

Owners of 28 homes in Oxnard filed a construction defect lawsuit against Centex Homes, the developer, and the subcontractor. Several of the Plaintiffs dismissed their claims, and those who remained settled with all but two subcontractors and the developer. The matter proceeded to trial with eight homeowners who alleged structural and water intrusion issues.

Result

After deliberating for approximately 8 hours, the jury returned complete defense verdicts in favor of Centex on each of the homes.

Other Information

As the prevailing party and because Plaintiffs had rejected its 998 offers, Centex is seeking to recover its costs and expert fees.
