Facts
On Oct. 19, 2009, Kristi Lynch drove up to a stop sign in parking lot in Lafayette, at which point Noah Shafi reversed his pickup truck into Lynch's car. On Oct. 28, Lynch was stopped at an intersection in Milpitas, and a vehicle operated by Prakash Lingampalli rear-ended Lynch's vehicle. She sued Shafi and Lingampalli, alleging that they both were negligent in the operation of their vehicles.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed Shafi should have noticed her vehicle when he was reversing in the parking lot, and that Lingampalli indicated that that he failed to see Lynch's vehicle because sunlight worsened his vision.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendants disputed Plaintiff's injuries and damages.
Damages
Lynch sought $13,975 in lost wages, $8,255 in medical bills. According to the defense, Lynch asked for $30,000 in general damages and $30,000 in future general damages.

The jury awarded $13,215 against Lingampalli.
