(Law Office of Mark T Lobre)

Facts

Casey Latour was driving along Geary Boulevard with two of his friends in the passenger and rear seats when he was broadsided by a vehicle operated by Guo Zheng who was attempting to make an illegal right-hand turn onto a street from the lane to the left of Latour.

Latour suffered injuries as a result thereof, and sued Zheng for negligence.

Zheng stipulated to liability.

Injuries

Latour sustained back strains and sprains with associated hip pain, dizziness, headaches, and ringing in his ears. He treated with a chiropractor that placed him on temporary disability. He claimed that his lower back pain had not resolved and he continued to experience radiating pain in his left hip.

Result

The jury determined that Zheng's negligence negligence was a substantial factor in causing harm to Latour. The jury awarded Latour more than $7,700 in total damages.
