Facts

Rafael Guajardo was fired by Federighi Design Inc., a small business that designs and installs high-end kitchens, allegedly because his bullying behavior caused a co-worker to resign.

Guajardo then filed suit against his former employer, alleging age, race, and disability discrimination. He claimed that a recent workplace injury had rendered him "damaged goods" and the company terminated him so that they could keep a younger, uninjured employee.

Damages

Guajardo sought over $1 million in past and future wages and emotional distress.

Result

The Court returned a defense verdict.
