Elite Lighting filed suit against DMF Inc. and Morteza Danish for patent infringement.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Hamid Rashidi was the inventor of two U.S. Patents, No. 7,597,460 and No. D551,384. Rashidi granted an exclusive license to Elite to both patents, and served as officer, director, and shareholder of Elite. Elite then sold light fixtures utilizing those patents.

Result

The court ruled in favor of the defense, finding that Elite failed to prove its claims.
