Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Ramirez was diagnosed with breast cancer on her right breast, and underwent bilateral mastectomies and chemotherapy. On May 11, 2011, she underwent a bilateral breast reconstruction surgery by Lee and Hansen. Although the surgery was completed allegedly without complications, the oxygen alarms on her right breast immediately went off following surgery. Despite readings indicating that her right breast was not receiving sufficient oxygen, and therefore dying, Lee discharged her. Her right breast continued to die, and she eventually developed an infection.
