Plaintiffs sued defendants after Sheriff's Deputy McGrattan collided with their vehicle at the intersection of Valley Blvd. and Durfee Ave., in the City of El Monte.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that McGrattan negligently operated his vehicle.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant contended that Juventino was the driver and had no insurance. Defendant claimed that Gabriel suffered most of his claimed injuries in another accident 19 months earlier.

Injuries

Plaintiffs claimed soft tissue injuries.

Result

Plaintiffs settled with the county for $65,000. Juventino received $6,929.50 in special damages, and Gabriel received $58,070.50.
