Verragio Ltd. filed an infringement lawsuit against Kieu Hanh Jewelry. The latter then filed a counterclaim against Verragio.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff allegedly owned rights to certain jewelry designs, including "Insignia-7003," "Insignia-7047," "Benitian-5001R," and others. Defendant allegedly infringed on those designs, prompting plaintiff to file this instant lawsuit alleging copyright infringement.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied the allegations and asserted various affirmative defenses.
Result
The parties entered into a stipulated judgment and permanent injunction against Kieu, enjoining it from engaging in further infringing acts. The stipulated judgment also acknowledged the validity of Verragio's copyrights.
