Facts

Petraglia was an anesthesiologist who worked at Newport Beach Center for Surgery LLC. Following a dispute with the other members of the LLC, Petraglia pursued his claims in arbitration. The arbitrator found for Petraglia on his breach of contract claim, concluding that his ownership interest and medical privileges had been improperly terminated, and awarded Petraglia $650,000 in damages, plus attorney fees and costs, for a total award of $1,050,849.12.
