Claimant Melissa Conway filed a FINRA claim against Daniel A. Klein and Wells Fargo Advisors LLC relating to her investment in Sun Life Financial annuity.

Contentions

CLAIMANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Claimant asserted claims for breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, fraud, and intentional misrepresentation.

Claimant opposed the motion for expungement and claimed that Klein provided tax advice to her regarding the annuity.

RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Claimant dismissed her claims against Klein with prejudice and settled with Wells Fargo for $35,000. Wells Fargo then brought a Motion for Expungement of Klein's registration records maintained by the Central Registration Depository.

Result

The panel granted the motion, concluding that Klein did nothing wrong.
