MedIT LCC and Transfusion Medicine Associates (TMA) entered into an agreement to provide medical billing services to TMA doctors, under which TMA agreed to pay MedIT for the provided services. A year later, the contract was terminated. MedIT sued TMA, and TMA cross-complained.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
MedIT alleged that TMA did not pay for the work performed.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
TMA alleged breach of contract, and claimed that plaintiff performed negligently and below industry standards, which caused large collection losses.

Result

The jury awarded cross-complainant TMA $1,164,129 against plaintiff.
