Facts

John Andoh, former South Tahoe Transit Authority Administrator, sued the City of South Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe Police Dept., and Officer Russell Liles, alleging racism within the Police Dept. Andoh was arrested in Oct. 2009 based on falsified information relating to his his interracial relationship with an STATA administrative assistant, whose brother was a police officer for the Police Dept. The police, however, claimed Andoh was arrested relating to inconsistent statements he made over a driving incident. He was charged with allegedly giving misleading information, but those charges were later dropped.

Result

Without admitting any misconduct, the city settled the matter for $5,000.
