Facts

San Diegans for Open Government sought a restraining order seeking to enjoin the City of San Diego from continuing the dredging in the Tijuana River Valley. Plaintiff argued it violated environmental laws. Mayor Jerry Sanders claimed that clearing out the river was vital in preventing flooding.

Result

The judge rejected a temporary restraining order that would have halted the project.
