Facts

The High Sierra Hikers Association filed suit against the United States Department of the Interior for creating a management plan for the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks that did not make detailed findings about the environmental impacts of stock animals.

Result

The court ruled that the National Parks Service had violated the Wilderness Act but not the National Envrionmental Policy Act.
