Facts

American Radio LLC sued Broadcom Corp. for patent infringement.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
American Radio held three patents, each entitled "System and Method For Radio Signal Reconstruction Using Signal Processor." The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office duly and legally issued all three patents. American Radio claimed that Broadcom knew of these patents, but directly infringed on them regardless.

American Road asserted causes of action for direct infringement, induced infringement, and contributory infringement of all three patents.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Broadcom denied American Radio's allegations, and challenged the validity of each of its patents. It argued that American Radio was not entitled to any relief, and asserted various affirmative defenses.

Result

The court found that Broadcom had not infringed on American Radio's patents.
