Facts

City National Bank sued Central Partnership LLC. The matter proceeded to arbitration, based on an arbitration agreement between the parties.
Central Partnership was a film distributor, who entered into a distribution agreement with Fusion Film LLC for a motion picture called "Odd Thomas." City National was part of the agreement because it agreed to provide production financing for Fusion.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
As part of the agreement, Central Partnership agreed to pay City National the remaining $1,480,000 minimum guarantee due on the distribution agreement.

Result

The arbitrator awarded City National Bank $1,480,000, with $86,295.07 in attorney fees.
