The Board of Trustees of the California Ironworkers Field Pension Trust and several other plaintiffs, sued S Diamond Steel Inc.
Diamond Steel was an employer and signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local Union No. 75 and the District Council of Ironworkers of the State of California and Vicinity.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that Diamond Steel was obligated to make monthly contributions to plaintiffs for the fringe benefits of its employees. Plaintiffs contended that Diamond Steel failed to do so prompting plaintiffs to sue Diamond Steel. Plaintiffs sought contributions for June 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013.
Result
The parties entered into a stipulated judgment in the sum of $397,598. This amount covered only the period of June 2012 through July 2013.
