Facts

Metro Fuel LLC filed suit against the City and County of San Francisco under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 regarding San Fracisco's ban on new general advertising signs. Metro Fuel claimed that the City had violated First Amendment rights and reserved for itself a monopoly on outdoor advertising in San Francisco.

Result

The parties settled for $1,750,000.
