The U.S. Secretary of Labor filed suit against Sophisticated Technologies Inc. for violations of ERISA.

Result

The parties settled. Moshe Klein is permanently enjoined and restrained from violating provisions of Title I of ERISA. Klein is also permanently enjoined and restrained from serving as a fiduciary of any ERISA-covered employee benefit plan. Klein shall pay $48,858 to the employee benefit plan and shall pay for an Independent Fiduciary who will terminate the employee benefit plan and make distributions to plan participants and beneficiaries.
