Facts

Network-1 Security Solutions Inc. filed suit against Allied Telesis, alleging infringement of Network-1's Remote Power Patent. Allied Telesis was one of 16 defendants named in the litigation. Network-1 initiated the patent litigation in September 2011, seeking monetary damages based upon reasonable royalties.

In 2012, Network-1 settled with some defendants, while continuing to pursue litigation against others.

Result

The parties settled. Allied Telesis agreed to a non-exclusive license agreement for the Remote Power Patent, under which Allied Telesis would license the technology for its full term and pay a license initiation fee and quarterly royalties.
