Facts

The Labor Department filed suit against Sarkis Karaoghlanian and Yorba River Inc., dba Pro Towing. Plaintiff claimed that Pro Towing employed workers at a rate less than the federal minimum wage and failed to pay overtime, violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938.

Result

The parties settled for $30,958. Defendants agreed to comply with labor laws and settled for an amount less than anticipated defense costs, according to defense counsel. Defendants do not admit the allegations in the complaint as noted in the consent decree.
