Facts
In January 2006, plaintiff Willie Martin, 71, was diagnosed with lung cancer. He brought suit against a number of defendants claiming they exposed him to asbestos. Defendants claimed that plaintiff's lung cancer was caused only by an extensive and lengthy history of cigarette use. Only Caterpillar Inc. and Dana Companies LLC were left remaining at the time of verdict.
Injuries
The plaintiff claimed lung cancer. His wife claimed loss of consortium.
