Facts

U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Farbia Zehtabian Madison entered into arbitration regarding alleged violations of an employment agreement between the two.

Contentions

CLAIMANT'S CONTENTIONS:
U.S. Bancorp, Madison's former employer, alleged breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, as well as Civil Code violations and unfair competition.

RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Madison denied the allegations.

Damages

U.S. Bancorp sought restitution and compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages, injunctive relief, attorney's fees and costs.

Result

The arbitration panel found that Madison engaged in misappropriation of trade secrets and misrepresentation, enjoining her from further such activities. U.S. Bancorp's claims for compensatory damages, punitive damages, costs incurred and attorney's fees were denied in its entirety.
